    that was precious…and to think i came over without such a guide…and to be honest, everyone was quite pleasant to me…sorry but you brits give yourselves a bad name…i quite enjoyed myself when there…but then again i didn’t expect people to drop everything just for me…even though a few did…and it was greatly appreciated…

    We are trading on past glories, Daisy. Lovely buildings and a society built by our ancestors. Most Brits now couldn’t even change a lightbulb.

    blue eyes…i will then consider myself fortunate because the men and women i have met from the UK are wonderful, intelligent, terribly polite and generous individuals and i feel myself to be lucky to know them…i am quite fond of those i have met and near misses :)

    Most Brits now couldn’t even change a lightbulb.

    Well, not without a proper H&S risk assessment and the phone number for a qualified electrician, anyway.
